I love my morning routine. It's the best part of my day, and it makes me feel so much better when I get up in the morning. But what if you don't have a morning routine? What if you haven't been able to find one that works for you yet? That's where spiritual practices come in! They can help build your own spiritual morning routine by helping you develop positive habits that will make your mornings more enjoyable and productive. I'm going to share with you seven powerful spiritual practices that will help build your own spiritual morning routine:
The morning pages are a daily journaling practice that can help you clear your mind and find clarity. In this simple exercise, you'll write down whatever comes to mind in the first five minutes of waking up—no matter how crazy it may seem! Throughout the day, these pages will give you an opportunity to think through what's important to focus on at each point in time.
You can use them as a way to take stock of all the things going on in your life or just figure out why certain things have happened at certain times during any given day. Once written down, don't forget about these little gems: they'll be waiting for when it's time for bed!
Free writing is a practice that helps you to be present and fully aware of your thoughts. It can also help you get in touch with your emotions, which is often where we hide from ourselves
When doing free writing exercises, write about anything that comes to mind—no matter how strange or trivial it may seem at first glance (this includes dreams). You might start out by writing about one specific thing like "I'm going on vacation" then continue through different topics until they all feel like they've been written down properly before moving onto another topic or person.
Gratitude journaling is a powerful spiritual practice that helps you to increase your happiness, reduce stress and anxiety, and build positive relationships.
The process involves writing down things for which you are grateful every day for at least one week. This can be anything from the smallest of things like a simple smile or compliment to more significant events such as losing weight or changing careers.
Deep breathing exercises can be a powerful tool for reducing stress, anxiety and depression. When you’re stressed out or anxious, your body releases hormones that cause blood pressure to rise. This can lead to heart disease and other health issues if left untreated.
Meditation is a way to connect with your higher self. Prayer is a way to connect with your higher power. Meditation and prayer can help you get in touch with your inner voice, which will give you peace and calm in life.
Reading spiritually uplifting books can help you grow spiritually. You may be thinking, "But I don't want to read anything spiritual." And that's fine! I'm not asking you to read a book called The Book of Spiritual Growth or Teachings From The Goddess Of Love. But there are lots of good books out there that will help you connect with your higher self and give you guidance and inspiration in your daily life.
While there are many ways to start your day, I recommend you start with an expressive arts practice. This can be as simple as cutting up a magazine or colouring in a colouring book and adding your own artwork to it. It can also be more complex such as painting or sculpting.
You don't have to do this alone; it's very helpful if you have friends around who are supportive of what you're doing!
There are many ways to create your own spiritual morning routine. The most important thing is to find the practices that work for you and then stick with them!
I hope that this post has given you some ideas of ways to start your day with spiritual practice. It’s important to find the right practice for you, but it doesn’t have to be difficult or complicated. There are lots of great resources out there, from books and podcasts on spiritual practices, to free online websites like global Soul Healing, Morning Pages and Gratitude Journaling .
